The Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Association in Russia will do its utmost
to help its businesses overcome any difficulties, stabilise production
and assist the development of the Vietnamese community in Russia.
The assertion was made by Tran Dang Chung, President of the
association, at a get-together in Moscow on March 2 to review the
association’s activities in 2012 and devise orientations for 2013.
Chung highlighted the association’s achievements in helping Vietnamese
businesses map out and implement long-term strategies, penetrate the
Russian market, protect fellow members’ legitimate rights, as well as
its attendance at the Vietnamese Business Forum in the Czech Republic
and its conduct of a market survey in Krasnodar City.
In
addition, the association and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (VCCI) were successful in jointly organising the Vietnam-Russia
Business Forum as part of President Truong Tan Sang’s Russia visit
in June, 2012. It has also encouraged organisations to offer assistance
to soldiers on Truong Sa Island, Agent Orange victims, and
underprivileged people in Vietnam.
Mentioning the
association’s 2013 missions, Chung pointed out that the association will
continue participating in a number of social activities to strengthen
solidarity and develop the Vietnamese community in Russia .
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son highly evaluated and
praised the association’s achievements over the past years, as well as
its participation in foreign work, contributing to consolidating the
Vietnam-Russia relationship.
He stressed that Vietnam began
the Free Trade Area negotiations with the Customs Alliance of Russia,
Belarus , and Kazakhstan , which creates an excellent opportunity for
businesses from both sides.
He called on the
association and its Vietnamese business members to contribute to the
important upcoming Russia visits of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, which will contribute to
strengthening the traditional friendly relations, effective cooperation
and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.-VNA
