Vietnamese businesses are participating in the ongoing 109th Paris
Fair 2013 (Foire de Paris 2013), which is held in Paris from April
30 to May 12.

With around 50 pavilions covering an
area of 630 square metres, the Vietnamese businesses, mostly small- and
medium-sized or family-owned ones, display traditional handicrafts and
fine art items, such as brocade, jewelry, lacquer, silk, and ao dai
(traditional dress).

Guersende Rouby, Trade Manager
of the fair, highly valued Vietnamese businesses’ participation in the
fair. According to the manager, Vietnam’s products are impressive,
diversified and eye-catching.

On the sidelines of
the fair, representatives of the fair management board and the
Vietnamese Embassy in France had a talk, aimed to help Vietnamese
businesses’ participation in the next fair in 2014, when the two
countries will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic
ties, she noted.

The Paris Fair is one of the biggest ones in Europe with 3,400 stalls covering an area of 220,000 m2.-VNA
