HÀ NỘI — Vietnam Airlines Corporation on Friday opened a new route between the southern city of Cần Thơ and the central city of Đà Nẵng at Cần Thơ International Airport.
The Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng route will be operated with a frequency of seven flights per week with the Airbus A321 aircraft with 4-star quality service. Flights depart from Cần Thơ at 7:15 and Đà Nẵng at 18:30 every day.
Passengers can buy tickets for Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng for only VNĐ299,000 (US$12.8) one way for economy class (excluding taxes, fees, surcharges). The tickets are on sale until February 3, while the departure time is from February 13 to March 31.
Đặng Minh Việt, head of Vietnam Airlines branch in Cần Thơ, said the opening of the Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng route will strengthen the connection between the Mekong Delta and central provinces, meeting the increasing demand of tourism and trade. The Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng route brings new choices for customers from Đà Nẵng to Côn Đảo when combined with the current Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo route, which is offered by Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), a member of Vietnam Airlines.
Cần Thơ leaders hope that in addition to opening the Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng route, Vietnam Airlines will soon open new routes connecting Cần Thơ with the north-eastern, north-central regions, Central Highlands and international airports.
The Cần Thơ – Đà Nẵng route is Vietnam Airlines’ fourth domestic flight operating from Cần Thơ International Airport, after Cần Thơ – Hà Nội, Cần Thơ – Phú Quốc and Cần Thơ – Côn Đảo. Previously, Vietjet Air was the first unit to offer this route since 2014. — VNS
