Shares continue to fall nationwide
HA NOI (VNS)– Shares extended yesterday’s losses during this morning session.
On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index declined 0.83 per cent to 464.86 points.
Market sentiment remains the same as yesterday with 20 per cent of listed stocks losing value while 60 per cent closed unchanged.
Trading value dropped 43 per cent over yesterday morning’s level to VND508.3 billion (US$24.2 million) as trading volume reached 41.16 million shares.
The VN30, representing the performance of HCM City’s 30 leading shares in terms of capitalisation and liquidity, fetched 530.29 points, sliding 0.8 per cent compared to yesterday’s close. Over two-thirds of the shares tumbled.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index fell by another a per cent, reaching 60.09 points.
Decliners outnumbered advancers by 103-44.
Market value and volume reached only around 70 per cent of yesterday morning’s trades, standing at VND248.9 billion ($11.8 million) and 35.5 million shares, respectively.
The HNX30, tracking the northern bourse’s top shares, hit 115.60 points – a 0.7 per cent decrease. – VNS
