Japan’s Toyoko Inn to build 100 new hotels across Viet Nam

HA NOI (VNS)— Japanese hotel chain Toyoko Inn plans to build 100 starred hotels in Viet Nam.

Although the country’s economy is currently at a low point, the situation will likely improve in the long term, ensuring the hotels’ success, Nishida Norimasa, president and founder of Toyoko Inn, said at a seminar in Ha Noi last Friday.

Vice President of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Doan Duy Khuong said the project was a meaningful economic event in the context of the two countries’ rapidly expanding relations in trade, tourism and culture.

Khuong hoped that the project, once completed, would contribute to boosting the two countries’ tourism and investment cooperation, promoting Viet Nam’s image to international friends and fostering tourism, investment and business activities in Viet Nam. — VNS
