The 24 th Vietnam Saigon Textile Garment Industry Expo (Saigontex 2013) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on April 11.
The four-day event has drawn the participation of 357 companies China,
France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea,
Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Swiss, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UK,
and Vietnam.
Covering over 10.000 sq.m at the Tan Binh
Exhibition and Convention Centre, the expo showcases garment and textile
machinery, fabric and garment accessories and the latest equipment in
the industry.
It provides an opportunity for Vietnamese textile
companies to access cutting-edge production technologies, thus
increasing the rate of locally-made contents and raising the added
values of products.
A series of seminars will also be held as
part of the event to help local enterprises find effective ways to tap
the US market and increase their competitiveness.
The expo
is jointly organised by the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group
(Vinatext), the VCCI Exhibition Service Co., Ltd and the Hong Kong-based
CP Exhibition Company.-VNA
