The Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade
Promotion Centre has made public their promotion programmes for 2013,
with numerous new activities to continue to support businesses’
international economic integration.
Commercial
promotion programmes of the city will focus on expanding footholds in
major markets of Cambodia , Myanmar and Laos , and strengthening
commercial promotion activities in other markets like the US , the EU
and the Middle East . Major industries to involve in these programmes
include agricultural products and food processing, garments – leather
and footwear, wooden products – handicraft and fine arts, interior
decoration, and industrial products.
For the
domestic market, the centre will continue to carry out the campaign
“Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese products” through
“Market-days for Vietnamese products” in residential areas in the
suburbs, export processing zones, industrial zones, and neighbouring
provinces and cities.
Numerous investment promotion
activities will be implemented in 2013, with conferences, meetings and
dialogues to be organised to update and provide information to
businesses and assist them in seeking partners and grasping investment
opportunities.
In 2012, the centre organised 18
investment and trade promotion events in seven countries, including
Myanmar, Laos, China and the Philippines, and 60 events in HCM City,
Hanoi and Mekong River Delta provinces.-VNA
