Eleven commodities earned more than 1 billion USD from exports in the first half of 2013, according to latest data.

The highest grossing product was mobile phones with 9.907 billion USD,
followed by garments and computers, which earned 7.98 billion USD and
4.712 billion USD, respectively.

Other commodities earning more
than 1 billion USD included footwear, crude oil, seafood, machinery,
transport vehicles, timber products, coffee and rice.

According
to the General Statistics Office, 15 countries in the world imported
Vietnamese goods worth 1 billion USD or more in the six months ending in
June.

The United States was still the largest importer of
Vietnamese goods with 8.846 billion USD, up 1.276 billion USD from a
year earlier.

Japan and China came second and third,
respectively importing goods worth 5.289 billion USD and 4.948 billion
USD from Vietnam.

Other major export markets for Vietnamese goods are the Republic of Korea, Germany and Malaysia.

In the last six months, Vietnam’s total export revenues were estimated at 62.053 billion USD, up 16.1 percent year on year.-VNA
