The Prime Minister has issued a national action plan on fighting money
laundering and terrorism financing for the period 2015-2020.
The
plan is aimed at establishing an anti-money laundering and terrorism
financing mechanism in Vietnam, implementing the Government’s
commitments to the country’s role in the Asia/Pacific Group on Money
Laundering (APG), and participating in trans-national crime prevention
programmes, according to the Vietnam Government Portal.
The plan
also looks to protect national, organisational and individual benefits
and contribute to preventing crimes and corruption; strengthen the
stability of financial organisations and stimulate the economic growth
rate; confirm the standpoints and commitments to combating money
laundering and terrorism financing for peace, stability, development and
integration as well as increasing Vietnam’s position in the
