Saigontourist launches more river tours
Saigontourist Holding Company is set to launch new river-tourism products in HCM City in the next few weeks.
In January city authorities put Saigontourist in charge of developing river tourism, and agreed with its proposals to develop infrastructure, wharves, rest stops, and tourist attractions so that distinctive products can be create around them.
Besides co-operating with foreign travel firms to sell cruise ship tours to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and Mekong Delta provinces, the firm also sells and night tours on the Sai Gon River.
Last year Saigontourist Travel sold 3,000 river tours, up from 2,100 in 2011.-VNS
