HÀ NỘI — The central province of Quảng Nam’s Culture, Tourism and Sports Department yesterday signed a cooperation agreement with Thiên Minh Group (TMG) to promote “Tourism Year 2022 themed Quảng Nam Province”.
The agreement aims to quickly push the recovery of local tourism, which has suffered heavily due to the pandemic.
The locality and the group will build a plan to develop and advertise Quảng Nam’s tourism to visitors in and outside the country and promote green tourism.
They will introduce Quảng Nam as an attractive destination and a must-visit area of Việt Nam to help local tourism develop sustainably and substantially.
In the agreement, TMG will propose and cooperate with local authorities on digital marketing for Quảng Nam’s tourism and Tourism Year 2022, launching advertising and communications campaigns and international standard tourism products, as well as green tourism products.
TMG will advise the locality to mobilise local enterprises to raise funds for developing tourism; set up an official website for Quảng Nam’s tourism and Tourism Year 2022; and conduct advertising for local tourism and the Tourism Year on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok).
“This year, the Tourism Year is themed Quảng Nam Province,” said Lê Trí Thanh, chairman of the province’s People’s Committee at the signing ceremony. “I hope that with the support of TMG, the tourism year will be successful and in the upcoming years, Quảng Nam’s tourism will further develop.”
“We should put Quảng Nam in the context of Việt Nam, as a locality hosting the Tourism Year’s events. Trying to revive Quảng Nam’s tourism means we are reviving Việt Nam’s tourism. We should link Quảng Nam with other localities as a complete tour for guests.”
Thanh suggested concerned agencies diversify markets for tourism to offer suitable products for each group of customers.
He said tourism events should be organised annually in the province under the slogan: “Green Tourism Destination.”
The opening ceremony for “Tourism Year 2022 themed Quảng Nam Province” is planned for March 25 in Memory Island in Hội An City. The closing ceremony will take place at the end of December in Vinpearl South Hội An.
During this time, the locality will cooperate with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other localities to host various tourism activities in Quảng Nam and other provinces and cities to mark the recovery and re-growth of the green economy.
After two years of freezing tourism due to the pandemic, at the end of November, the province welcomed the first international visitors from the UK, France, Germany, the US, Norway, South Korea and Israel.
TMG is a leading provider in the field of travel and hotel services in Southeast Asia. According to CEO Trần Trọng Kiên of TMG, since the 1990s, the group has been making considerable contributions to the development of the province.
The group brought many tourists to Hội An and Quảng Nam through its travel agencies. Kiên said TMG would develop new clusters of tourism sites in the province.
“TMG will not only develop its property but also balance property investment and experience investment,” he said. “TMG will give priority to new kinds of tourism, sustainable tourism and to high-value products with local distinctive features aimed at high-end customers. We are willing to share our experience, knowledge and human resources and support the province as well as local tourism enterprises to develop sustainable tourism.”
Over its 27 years of operation, TMG’s core mission has been to turn every step of customers’ journey into a fulfilling and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
TMG has been unceasingly creating and improving its products on a daily basis, with famous destinations close to the hearts of domestic and foreign tourists alike. — VNS
