Lunar New Year to start with a bang

HA NOI (VNS)— Colourful fireworks will light up skies all over the country on Lunar New Year’s Eve this Saturday.

In Ha Noi, fireworks will bloom over 29 localities in the space of 15 minutes. Great viewing spots include the Sword Lake (in Hoan Kiem District), Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District), Lac Long Quan Park (Tay Ho District), Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong District) and My Dinh National Stadium (Tu Liem District).

In northern Lao Cai Province, fireworks will be fired from the centre of Lao Cai districts.

This will be the first time residents in the remote districts of Van Ban and Bat Xat will have the chance to enjoy the art. Other provinces including Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai and the two cities of Hai Phong and Da Nang are on the same list.

For the first time, fireworks will light the skies of the central mountainous districts of Tra Bong and island district Ly Son of Quang Ngai Province.

In the meantime, the Central Highlands provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Gia Lai and central coastal provinces of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa will organise art shows and fireworks for midnight.
