Historic Russian records given to HCM museum
HA NOI (VNS) — The Ha Noi-based Ho Chi Minh Museum yesterday received six documents from Russia’s External Policies Archives.
The documents include a report by the Russia Embassy in France on Indochina issues compiled on August 20, 1945; a telegraph from President Ho Chi Minh to his Russian counterpart I. V. Stalin to ask for Russian support to fix broken dykes in Viet Nam dated September 22, 1945; and another telegraph by President Ho Chi Minh to Stalin dated October 21, 1945.
At the handover ceremony, director of the museum Chu Duc Tinh thanked the Russian Embassy and Russia’s Archives Agency, and confirmed the value of the documents for research purposes and relations between the two countries. — VNS
