City engineer takes out ‘French I love’ contest
HCM CITY(VNS) — Nguyen Thai Hoa, an engineer with the Le Havre Company in HCM City, has won the only prize in the “French, I love” contest co-organized by the French Embassy in Viet Nam and online newspaper VnExpress, beating 712 competitors.
Contestants were invited to share their experiences, feelings and impressions about France through short films, photo essays or writings.
The prize, granted to Hoa on the occasion of the celebration of French National Day in HCM City on July 14, is a 6-day trip to France sponsored by Air France and Phoenix Voyages. Hoa offered the prize to his father, Nguyen Thai Binh, who inspired her to learn French.-VNS
