Berlinale’s short films screened in Ha Noi
HA NOI (VNS)— A festival of short films will be shown to treat local movie buffs at Ha Noi’s Goethe Institute this weekend.
The festival, part of the series, Berlinale Shorts Goes Exterior, will feature short films from Berlin’s International Film Festival, introduced by curator Maike Mia Hohne, and will include two programmes showing 11 films from previous Berlinale years.
The first programme focuses on stories about individuals, including isolated people and their lives. The films, from Thailand, India, Germany, Brazil and Italy, act as mirrors that reflect relationships.
The next programme will feature films from Mexico, Romania, the Netherlands, Spain, France and Poland, that deal with separation and the way different people deal with it.
The curtains will be raised for the films at 7pm on Saturday and Sunday at 56 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and admission is free. —VNS
