A modern angle
The Dai Lai Conference Hall in northern Vinh Phuc Province has become the only architectural work in Viet Nam to win at the International Architecture Awards this year. The conference hall was built by Vo Trong Nghia Co. Ltd headed by Viet Nam’s renowned architect Vo Trong Nghia. Dai Lai Conference Hall, which is built mainly with stone and bamboo, was designed with a very unique architecture style in the image of a Vietnamese cottage. The International Architecture Awards are considered prestigious awards in the world for new architecture works around the globe. The awards were initiated in 2005 by Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design, to honour the most outstanding architecture which has been designed and built worldwide. This is the sixth time Vo Trong Nghia Company won this prestigious award. Also this year, the company has won four international awards, including the prestigious World Architecture Festival (WAF), and FuturArc Prize and FuturArc Green Leadership. — Photo courtesy of Vo Trong Nghia Co.
