HA NOI (VNS)— Viet Nam, together with India and China, is expected to record the strongest export growth in the world in the 2013-20 period, with growth hitting the double digits every year, according to the latest HSBC Global Connections report.
China is likely to remain Brazil’s largest export market, while the country’s fastest-growing export partners would be India and Viet Nam, the report said.
As China shifts its focus towards higher value-added sectors, this will create opportunities for economies with low-cost labour such as Viet Nam and Bangladesh.
Advanced economies currently conduct the majority of their trade with other developed economies, but they will see a growing share of their exports directed to emerging markets. — VNS
