Capital to host 3 expos on support industries
HA NOI (VNS)— Three support industry exhibitions would be held in Ha Noi from September 4-6, Thailand’s Reed Tradex Co has announced.
The Reed Tradex-hosted Viet Nam Manufacturing Expo 2013 will combine four international exhibitions on machinery and technology for specific industries.
Its components will include InterPlas Viet Nam for plastic and rubber, InterMold Viet Nam for mold and dye making and Automotive Viet Nam on automation for production and assembly lines.
It is expected to attract over 10,000 local industrialists who will examine the latest technology, solutions and services provided by 200 participating companies from around the world.
“Support industries play an extremely vital role in Viet Nam, especially the manufacturing of parts which is fundamental to the growth of all industries including motorbikes, automotive and electronics,” said Reed Tradex’s managing director, Chainarong Limpkittisin.
“A strong parts-making sector will help Viet Nam reduce import costs, enhance the efficiency of its productivity and improve product value, thereby strengthening the country’s economy as a whole,” Chainarong said.
Around 50 Japanese companies will showcase components and parts they hope to sell in Viet Nam while local firms will showcase domestically manufactured products at the upcoming fifth Viet Nam-Japan Exhibition on Support Industries.
The event will be co-organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and the Trade Promotion Agency.
Hi-tech products from Japan will be showcased at the Japanese Monozukuri Technology Exhibition.
“Viet Nam is a promising country for Japanese investors. It will become an industrialised nation with sufficient supply of raw materials in the near future,” said chief representative of JETRO in Ha Noi Hirokazu Yamaoka.
“The three expos will be a real industrial platform for buyers and sellers to meet and wider business networks, particularly Japanese investors, to expand their operations in Viet Nam,” he said. — VNS
