VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese singer Tung Duong will have two free shows with the band Unit Asia on July 12 at the Youth Theatre in Hanoi and on July 14 at the Ben Thanh Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City. This is the second time Tung Duong cooperating with an international band.

Coming back from France after days of working with musician Nguyen Le for new music products, Tung Duong said he was very excited to receive an invitation to a reunion Unit Asia – the band that gave him inspiring moments when they performed together in February 2012.
As revealed by Tung Duong, this program will include the band’s solo performances and some English and famous Vietnamese songs performed by Tung Duong and the band together.
The band consists of five re-known artists of Asia, who made successful tours in many countries around the world. Their musical style is built on the foundation of jazz combined with the various musical elements such as rock, pop, blues …
Isao Miyoshi (guitar/Japan) is evaluated as one of the top jazz guitarists in Japan. Koh. Saxman (saxophone/Thailand) is an excellent representative of Thailand. Tay Cher Siang (piano/Malaysia) is now a lecturer at the UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur.

Shigeki Ippon (bass/Japan) is capable of playing different musical instruments like contrabass and electronic bass with the combination from classical to jazz and pop. Tomo’o Tsuruya (percussion/Japan) is settled in Vancouver, Canada and he has performed with many famous bands.
Tung Duong is rated as the No.1 male singer in Vietnam. He is the owner of the prestigious awards such as Dedication Award, Favourite Song Award, Vietnamese Song Award and Yellow Apricot Award among others.
Free tickets will be delivered from 2pm on June 28 at the Center for Japanese Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (27 Quang Trung, Hanoi) and Ben Thanh Theatre, No. 6 Mac Dinh Chi, Ho Chi Minh City.
