VietNamNet Bridge – Tuoi Than Tien concert for children will return every Sunday from June 16 to August 18 at Hoa Binh Theater in District 10 after 20 years in the wilderness.
The young dancers perform a rehearsal for the forthcoming Tuoi Than Tien shows at a press conference yesterday in town.
The program will feature numerous singing and dancing acts and games to entertain kids supported by 3D Mapping technique.
“We decided to revive the program to mark the 20th anniversary of the last performance (June 1, 1993-2013) as well as in response to Vietnam’s Year of Family in 2013,” said Pham Thi Thai, director of Hoa Binh Theater, on Thursday.
“The production team aims to make an entertainment place as well as create a habit for children to go to see a stage production instead of being stuck in front of the TV or computer for hours,” director/scriptwriter Tat My Loan.
“The program has three parts: imagination, creativity and amusement to give children lessons on Vietnam’s culture and traditional values,” he added.
Trio Ti Ni, Ti Na and Ti No will replace popular characters like Doraemon robot cat and five Japanese superheroes in previous shows to lead the show.
Popular artists like Phuong Thanh, Cam Van, Khac Trieu, My Le, Hoai Linh and People’s Artist Ngoc Giau also return to the program to contribute their performances after a 20-year break.
The show written and directed by siblings Tat My Loan and Tat My Ly, with music by Duc Tri, costumes by Le Minh Khoa and choreographed by Nguyen Ba Thao Dung has two session times from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday. Parents and children can pose for souvenir pictures in a modeled giant house in front of the theater and they can access www.tititi.vn to find their photos.
Tickets are priced from VND100,000 to VND500,000. People who book large numbers of tickets will enjoy 5% to 10% discounts.

Tuoi Than Tien series was a big hit among children in the 1990s and it was held in both HCMC and Hanoi. The concerts had record ticket sales that no other show at Hoa Binh Theater has ever matched since.
