The band, formed in 2005 in the U.K with members from all over the world, were an immediate hit with music fans thanks to their upbeat melodies.
Their debut Mercury Prize-nominated album “Through The Windowpane” was released in 2006. The band won a BRIT Award 12 months later.
Their other albums “Red” (2008), “Walk the River” (2011), and “Hello Land!” (2012) were also hugely popular.
Guillemots are currently recording a new album in Norway with producer Jonas Raabe. It is the second in a series of four albums that are expected to continue the band’s run of success. They will also star at Youth Theater in Hanoi on May 28.
The performances are free of charge with tickets available at the British Council offices on 25 Le Duan Street in District 1 and at 20 Thuy Khue Street in Hanoi. The HCMC gig kicks off at 8 p.m.
