As many as 80 photographs featuring the breathtaking landscapes and
daily life and spirit of officers and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago
are showcased at an exhibition that opened in Nha Trang city, central
Khanh Hoa province on April 26.

The pictures taken
by photojournalist Tran Minh Ngoc, a correspondent of Vietnam Pictorial
(Vietnam News Agency) in the city, celebrate the 38th anniversary of
the liberation of Truong Sa archipelago (April 29, 1975-2013).

The six-day event illustrates the cultural and spiritual life of the
island’s officers, soldiers and local residents, as well as the
affection of the people for Truong Sa and vice versa.

On the occasion, Ngoc donated 5 million VND to the programme
“Collecting stones to build Truong Sa” launched by the Tuoi Tre (Youth)
newspaper, and presented a number of his photos to several schools in
the city in order to instil patriotism and nurture love for the national
sea and islands in young people.-VNA
