The southern coastal province of Tra Vinh has released over 2.7
million breeding sugpo prawns into the sea at Dinh An fishing port, Dinh
An town, Tra Cu district.
This is an activity to
mark the traditional Fisheries Day and the 54th founding anniversary of
Vietnam ’s fishery sector (April 1, 1959 – April 1, 2013).
The breeding prawns were contributed by 324 organizations, individuals,
and businesses working in aquaculture sectors in the province.
This is the eighth year Tra Vinh province has mobilised people to
contribute breeding shrimps to release into the sea. Since 2003, the
agricultural sector in Tra Vinh province has released more than 31
million shrimps into the sea and 420,000 breeding fish into rivers.-VNA
