As many as 185 production
establishments causing pollution in the southern province of Dong Nai
are requested to relocate out of residential areas by the end of 2015.
The province’s approved list of polluters required
to move included 37 facilities that engage in pottery production and 20
slaughterhouses.
As of June, 21 out of the 28
operating industrial parks in Dong Nai ran concentrated wastewater
treatment systems, with a total processing capacity of 102,000 cubic
metres per day, reported the provincial Department of Natural Resources
and Environment.
Meanwhile, automated
wastewater observation stations had been set up in 17 industrial parks,
14 of which have been built by the province with a total investment of
77 billion VND.
Air supervision stations had also become operational in three other parks, helping control pollution in the sites.
