VietNamNet Bridge – German photographer Hans Peter Grumpe visited Hanoi in 1991-1993 and he recorded images of Hanoi’s innocent children in the early renovation period.
On his personal website, Hans-Peter Grumpe presents more than 1,600 photographs he took in Vietnam from 1991 to 1993.
Hans-Peter Grumpe has two major hobbies – travel and photography. He has been to many countries. He chose Vietnam not only for tourism but for the chance to see a country in a period of change.
Grumpe said Vietnam had just stepped out of the war and the world did not yet know about it. Only about 300,000 foreigners traveled to Vietnam every year.
