Focus should be on the development and attraction of high-quality
human resources as an effort to raise businesses’ competitiveness, heard
a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on September 29.

Addressing at
the event co-organised by Leading Business Club (LBC) and Boston
Consulting Group (BCG), LBC Chairman Pham Phu Ngoc Trai described human
resources as the vital role for the business development and improvement
of firms’ competitiveness.

According to Trai, as
international trade agreements are signed, there will be the
high-quality workforce moving among countries taking part in the
agreements and enterprises will face challenges in attracting the
talents.

Bernd Waltermann, from the BCG Asia-Pacific Management
Board, highlighted the advantage of high-quality human resources in
business development strategies in the face of economic integration,
while pointing out challenges on human resources that require a new
approach to handle the issues.

The workshop also
provided participants with an overview on trends of workforce moving in
the coming time, and effective ways in recruiting, developing and
keeping high-quality staff.-VNA
