Cambodia conducted a firing drill on August 29 to enhance its armed
forces’ national defence capacities, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence
Minister Tea Banh said.
The half-day drill was held at military
training grounds in Kampong Speu province, approximately 70 km west of
the capital Phnom Penh .
Minister Tea Banh, along with
Gen. Pol Saroeun, commander-in-chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces
(RCAF), oversaw the exercise which involved around 500 soldiers.
The exercise aims to strengthen the capacity of RCAF in maintaining
peace and stability, and defending territorial integrity, Tea Banh said.-VNA
