About 80,000 residents will benefit from a new 4.5 million USD water
supply system, funded by the Korea International Co-operation Agency
(KOICA), in Buon Ho Town, Dak Lac Province.
The facility will
generate 5,600 cubic metres of safe water daily for households and help
advance the town’s process of socio-economic development, said KOICA’s
resident representative, Kim In.
Only 30 percent of the
residents have access to safe water, while the others have to use water
from the polluted river or wells.
The province has nearly 1.8 million people, of which about 31 percent belong to ethnic minority groups.-VNA
