Established in 2013, the Arod Quartet includes four young men who have already made a name for themselves in the classical music scene in Europe.

They came to the attention on the international stage when they won First Prize at the prestigious ARD International Music in Munich, having already taken First Prize at the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen in 2015 and at the FNAPEC European Competition (Paris) in 2014.

The quartet has been invited to perform at several international festivals, such as Verbier and Montreux (Switzerland), Aix-en-Provence, Menton, Salon-de-Provence, Folle Journée de Nantes, The Pablo Casals Festival of Prades (France), Heidelberg, Rheingau, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Bremen Musikfest, Mozartfest Würzburg, Prague Spring Music Festival and more.

The Arod Quartet will be on stage together with pianist Nguyen Viet Trung – a laureate of many international prizes, who was dubbed the “golden boy” of Vietnam.

Nguyen Viet Trung – the Vietnamese piano talent, who is compared as “the second Dang Thai Son” – has won many international awards, such as the second place in a competition for young pianists in Zyrardow, Poland in 2004 and 2006, the first prize in the Emmy Alberg competition in Lodz in 2005, a special prize in the Chopin competition in Mazowiecki as well as the Golden Note for the best performer of Mozart compositions in 2006, the fourth position in the Frédéric Chopin Piano Competition in 2008, the second place in an international competition in Plock named for Ludwik Stefanski and Halina Czerny Stefanska where he competed against pianists three to four years older, the 2nd prize in the Chopin International Competition for “Chopin for the Youngest” in 2010.

He is one of eight young pianists invited from all over the world by Professor Andrea Bonatta to perform in the Junior Academy Eppan program. Trung is now in Poland to continue his study program at the Warsaw Conservatory.
