The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) has formed a five-member
working group to talk with a similar group from the opposition Cambodia
National Rescue Party (CNRP) on November 5.
The
talks are to prepare for the upcoming dialogue between leaders of both
parties with an aim to settle conflicts after the National Assembly
election on July.
Cambodian Deputy Minister and
Minister of Interior Sar Kheng on November 1 said the CPP’s working
group will be led by Prum Sokha, Secretary of State at the Ministry of
Interior.
Meanwhile, CNRP spokesperson Yem Boborith
said members of the party’s group will be named after the November 1
meeting chaired by CNRP President Sam Rainsy and Vice President Kem
Sokha.-VNA
