Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has awarded the country’s largest
foreign-owned bank, the Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), a
certificate of merit for excellence in business operations and great
contributions to the development of Vietnam .
The Deputy
Director of the Emulation and Reward Department of the State Bank of
Vietnam , Khuat Duy Tuan, handed over the certificate to HSBC CEO Sumit
Dutta at an official ceremony held in Hanoi on March 7.
“This is a huge honour for us and a real validation of our constant
efforts to foster economic growth and encourage investment in this
dynamic country,” said Dutta.-VNA
