Domestic scientists were joined by their colleagues from many countries
at the third International Scientific Conference on Sustainable Energy
Development (SED 3) which opened in Hanoi on October 16.
Issues high on the conference’s agenda were energy security, new and
renewable energy, the economical and effective use of energy and
advanced energy technology.
Local researchers
submitted their studies on solutions for sustainable energy development,
the impacts of energy use on the country’s environment, and the policy
on energy pricing in relation with sustainable energy development.
The event is expected to enhance the exchange and cooperation among
scientists, research organisations and businesses operating in the
