Located in downtown HCM City, Bui Vien is known as foreigners’ street. The 1,400m-long street is well organised with stalls selling a wide variety of goods to meet the diversified demands of visitors.
 Bui Vien street is popular among foreign backpackers and recommended by the Lonely Planet travel guide book for its numerous hotels, restaurants, stores, bars, café, and tourists services. It has been a favourite rendezvous for young Saigonians and foreign tourists.  Bui Vien pedestrian street is a good destination for visitors to Ho Chi Minh City. It is open from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am at the weekend. Art performances at the weekend please locals and visitors. There are stages at both ends of the street where Vietnamese and foreign artists perform and directly interact with the audiences.  Traditional classical opera (tuong) is performed on the street. Ao dai (traditional long dress) show on the walking street.  The walking street lures a lot of visitors at night.  Cuisine is a must-try feature of Bui Vien where visitors can find dishes from all over the world with a host of eateries, bars and restaurants from ordinary to luxurious.  Visitors can taste grilled chevon, beef, chicken and seafood, Vietnamese local specialties such as Pho, Quang noodles and Hue beef noodles, or Indian, Korean, Mexican, Thai or French foods.
