Workshops in Thuong Tin District, Hanoi make more than 20,000 banners every day to meet football fans’ demands as they get ready to cheer on Vietnam’s U23 squad in the final match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship.
Workers at a workshop owned by Nguyen Quang Phuc in Thuong Tin District stay up all night to make enough flags and banners for passionate football fans across the country in the run up to the final between Vietnam and Uzbekistan. Following the U23 squad’s victory over Qatar, Phuc’s workshop has received a series of large orders. With more than 20-years of experience making national flags, Mr Phuc’s workshop can produce thousands of national flags and banners every day. Most of the manufacturing processes are completed by hand. It takes a lot of time to make so many small flags and banners. Employing nearly 20 workers, Mr Phuc’s workshop can produce more than 7,000 banners a day. Thousands of banners are going out for delivery to customers. Flags and banners are mainly supplied to customers in Hanoi, Haiphong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Vinh, and Ho Chi Minh City.
