Thousands of bright yellow petals are enticing Hanoians and visitors alike to visit a sunflower garden covering an area of 2,000 square metres in the capital city of Hanoi.
The sunflower garden is located in Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
According to the relic site’s management board, the flower garden was planted on October 20, 2017 and is now in full bloom
The gardeners say they have sought technical advice from experts so they can provide the best care for the flower garden.
Sunflowers usually bloom for 15-20 days. However, the sunflowers in Thang Long Imperial Citadel will stay in bloom until the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) to the pleasure of visitors and residents.
People of all ages and tourists flocked to take photos in the garden when they heard of the beautiful sunflowers.
Elderly people are also interested in taking photos of these flowers.
The road to Doan Mon gate of the relic site is bathed in the bright yellow colour of sunflowers.
Due to the cold weather, the sunflowers are large and vibrant.
A student from the Academy of Journalism and Communication says she is surprised to see this kind of flower in the heart of Hanoi, without having to go to the central province of Nghe An.
