VietNamNet Bridge – Online shops on social networks can be a great way for small-scale traders to shift some clobber, but a public forum probably isn’t the best place to sell stolen goods.

However Nhut and Nhung, a couple in Nha Trang City, the central province of Khanh Hoa, thought Facebook was the right place to shift on a hot motorbike.

On July 29, Nhut asked his girlfriend, Nhung, to steal a motorbike and later that day, they spotted an unattended Vision motorbike at a park opposite of Ly Tu Trong Road.

They stole the motorbike, took it to their boarding house, removed its number plate and made a new key for the motorbike.

Nhung then posted the bike on Facebook for sale, presumably after uploading a few selfies.

On July 30, Dau Thi Bien, owner of the motorbike, saw the motorbike online, so she informed the police.

Nhut and Nhung were later arrested at Nha Trang Port, where they intended to sell Bien the motorbike.

Facebook has been blamed for a lot in 2017, at least it managed to help police catch this poor man’s Bonnie and Clyde.
