In the concert on the evening of March 9, the chamber concert of the HCM City Symphony, Ballet and Opera Theatre (HBSO) will have the special participation of the French violinist – conducgtor Maryvonne Le Dizes.
Maryvonne Le Dizes won the first prize for violinist and chamber music of the National Conservatoire Superieur and she is the first woman who won the Paganini Prize of Genoa.
She is known by the audiences in Europe, United States, Vietnam and Japan through classical and contemporary music works. She now spends a lot of time for teaching contemporary music, researching and publishing books.
Going to Vietnam this time, artists Maryvonne Le Dizes and Vietnamese Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach will conduct the HBSO to play works of the two different.
It’s classical music with the beauty of balance, pattern and eternity through music of Mozart (1756 – 1791) and Francesco Geminiani (1687-1762). Another genre is the music of the 20th century with sublimated emotions, intense, creative music of British composer Benjamin Britten (1913-1976), who succeeded in all areas of music, from the soundtrack to the musical, and of Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992).
Piazzolla’s music is the great mix between Latin music, jazz, and academic music that has a very unique style, with generous, passionate, emotional impression.
Artists will also play music by Belgian musician Guillaume Lekeu (1870 – 1894), a musical talent who died young, at the age of 24.
