Forest of Sunlight, an iron wood sculpture by Mukai Katsumi displayed at the Flamingo Dai Lai Resort. This year, Katsumi is also taking part in the Art in the Forest 2017 project.
“I expect the project will attract more and more artists in the region and Flamingo Dai Lai Resort will become a great destination for art lovers,” Luong Xuan Doan, vice chairman of the Viet Nam Fine Arts Association, said.
The project brings together 17 sculptors and painters from Spain, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Viet Nam, who will stay at the resort and create in studios built in the forest.
At the end of the month, the artists will open their studios and present their artworks to the public. Last year, some 6,000 visitors attended the opening day.
The project was launched for the first time in 2015 and has become an annual attraction.
