The committee’s Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong and his deputies will be available on the 20th and 27th day to meet directly with residents who have outstanding and unresolved cases.
The cases will be introduced by the city’s leaders or under the jurisdiction of the city chairman. Large and complicated problems that affect the society’s order or long-outstanding cases will also be prioritised.
The public has expressed support for the city chairman after he met local people in Binh Chanh District and solved their long-outstanding land dispute on August 11.
Several neighbours in Vinh Loc A Commune were in dispute after their lane was encroached on. They had sent complaints to various agencies for 20 years but no one had helped solve the case properly.
Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong came to the site and resolved the dispute in just 30 minutes.
“I’m very sorry for the hardships that you have faced when trying to get your problems solved,” Phong told local people after dealing with the case in Binh Chanh District. “The committee will urge local departments and agencies to closely follow the disputes and consider issuing new decisions to better facilitate legal issues.”
