The No. 8 Rhapsody concert, themed Les Miserables , part of
the “I Dreamed a Dream” series, will raise funds for children with
cleft lips and cleft palates, according to Tuoi tre (Youth) online.
The concert, to be held at 7:30 pm on April 27 and 28
at Cong Nhan (Workers) Theatre in Hanoi, will see performances by the
Rhapsody Philharmonic of famous movie tracks, such as ‘Skyfall,’ ‘I Have
a Dream,’ ‘My Heart Will Go On,’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight.’
The show, also featuring beauty queen Duong Tu Anh, the
programme ambassador, will put up a number of items for auction, such as
CDs featuring local celebrities’ autographs and wooden, gem-studded
dolls.
Tickets are sold for 500,000 VND (25 USD) for
the April 27 show, 200,000 VND (9.5 USD) for students and 300,000 VND
(14.3 USD) for the April 28 show.
The Rhapsody
Philharmonic was founded in late 2010 by drummer Nguyen Hung Cuong and
his friend Luu Quang Minh. Its 70 members perform on a regular basis.
The organisers of the series ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ also held two street concerts on April 13 and 20 in Hanoi.-VNA
