Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has fallen to
seventh position in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.
In
the new BWF rankings released on September 12, Minh fell from fifth
place after Japan ’s Kenichi Tago and Indonesia ’s Tommy Sugiarto
advanced up the leader board.
Minh only advanced to
the fifth spot in August after winning a bronze medal at the World
Badminton Championship in Guangzhou , China .
Malaysian badminton player Lee Chong Wei retained his top position in
the men’s single rankings, while China’s Li Xuerui held first place in
the women’s category.-VNA
