Officials from the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front,
central and local governments joined experts and researchers at a
seminar on March 25 to discuss the government’s draft report on results
of the nationwide opinion poll on the draft amendments to the 1992
constitution.
Addressing the seminar held by the
Steering Committee for Reviewing the Implementation of the 1992
Constitution, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that
basically, the committee did a good job in organising the collection of
opinions on the draft amendments.
According to the
draft report made by the steering committee, by March 25, the Ministry
of Justice had received reports from 29 out of the total 30 ministries
and central agencies and 59 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. A
total of 28,014 seminars and conferences were organised nationwide and
around 15 million opinions were collected.
The
deputy PM, who chairs the steering committee, said the opinions have
been summed up in an accurate, adequate and impartial manner in the
steering committee’s draft report.
The steering
committee will continue receiving opinions from experts, scientists and
State administrators to complete the draft report, Phuc added.
The draft report also suggests adjustments to the draft constitutional
amendments, focusing on stipulations relating to the government at
central and local levels.
Participants at the seminar
gave more opinions on the function, duties, position and role of the
government in the State apparatus.-VNA
