Domestic and foreign visitors are thronging to the first ever Nha
Trang-Vietnam International Sea and Islands Tourism Fair that opened in
Nha Trang city, central Khanh Hoa province on June 8.
Themed “Sea, islands and tourism development”, the three-day fair
houses 100 stalls of domestic travel agencies, hotels, resorts and
airlines from coastal cities and provinces as well as major tourism hubs
nationwide, not to mention those run by companies from Malaysia,
Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, India, UAE and Bulgaria which come
to seek cooperation chances with Vietnamese partners.
A selection of inbound, outbound and domestic tours is also made
available, especially those to Vietnam ’s seas and islands as well
as localities with special hospitality services.
The ASEAN working group of tourist products and marketing convened a special meeting on the occasion.
At the same time, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held a
symposium on Vietnam ’s cruise tourism while the Fund for Central
Region Development Research hosted a seminar entitled “Developing
tourism products in central coastal region”.-VNA
