A trade-tourism-food fair was inaugurated on April 26 in Ha Long city in
Quang Ninh province as part of the Ha Long Carnival which officially
opens on April 27.
The fair attracted more than 100
enterprises and organizations nationwide with more than 120 stalls,
featuring high-quality Vietnamese products such as textiles, machines,
farm produce, processed food, arts and crafts, household goods and
tourism services.
Fashion and comedy shows will be held during the evening at the fair.
According to Do Khanh Tung, Deputy Director of the provincial
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fair creates a chance for
Quang Ninh province to introduce its tourism potential to visitors. It
also helps local businesses promote their brands and expand links with
domestic and international partners.
The 2013 Ha Long Carnival
is the seventh of its kind in Quang Ninh province, aiming to draw
attention to its tourism potential.
The carnival’s street show
is expected to draw more than 5,000 local artists, models and dancers,
and art troupes from China, Laos and the Republic of Korea, together
with a parade of six flower carriages featuring Quang Ninh’s tourism
resources.-VNA
