The Swedish Film Festival will show films free of charge for the people in Hanoi this weekend.

The festival, which marks 45 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Vietnam, focuses on popular Swedish films.

From
the box-office success Easy Money portraying organised crime in
Stockholm to the Oscar-winning story of the forgotten musician Rodriguez
in Searching For Sugar Man, the film festival has something of every
genre, offering the audience a fascinating opportunity they cannot miss.

The
other movies that will be screened are Palme featuring the story of
former Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme, who was a strong supporter of
Vietnam during the American War; Show Me Love; and The Black Pimpernel,
as well as Tzvetanka, a poetic, playful and touching documentary.

“Movie
lovers from Hanoi will get a unique chance to undertake a cinematic
journey through a fantastic line-up of Swedish films, which have been
appreciated for years by the Vietnamese audience,” said Camilla
Mellander, Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam.-VNA
