VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese cueists will compete against foreign rivals at the 2014 carom 3-cushion World Cup in Porto, Portugal next month.

The tournament is scheduled to be held from September 8-14.
Member of Vietnam’s team – Ly The Vinh, Duong Anh Vu, Ngo Dinh Nai, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, Ma Xuan Cuong, Tran Quyet Chien and Nguyen Duc Anh Chien – will leave for France from September 3 to compete at a friendly match with a French club, before completing at the 2014 carom 3-cushion World Cup in Porto.
According to Coach, Nguyen Viet Hoa, among the members, some cueists promise to produce good results. Ly The Vinh was ranked in fifth position after 20 matches at the US Carom Billiard 3-Cushion Open Tournament last year. Meanwhile, at the third International Three-cushion Carom Billiards tournament in Binh Duong on August 15, Tran Quyet Chien overcame Cho Jae-ho, currently No.1 player in his country and among the world’s top 10.
The event is considered as a good opportunity for Vietnamese players to test their skills in preparation for upcoming tournaments, as well as to improve their world rankings.
