Visitors flocked to an exhibition showcasing the traditional costume of
Raglai ethnic people, held in Bac Ai district of central Ninh Thuan
province on August 30.
Along with art
performances, it formed part of the first ever cultural festival for
this ethnic minority held in the locality.
Over 500
Raglai artisans, artists and musicians from the four provinces of Ninh
Thuan, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong participated in the festival.
Visitors were treated to traditional dances, songs
and music, as well as re-enactments of several traditional rituals such
as marriage, celebrating a new harvest, and praying for rain.
They also had a chance to contemplate the traditional costumes which
have a unique character preserved by Raglai people for a very long time.-VNA
