VietNamNet Bridge – Local inventors last weekend displayed their robots, unmanned plane models, military ships, bean sprouting machines and other machines at Techmart, Vietnam’s largest annual technology and equipment fair, in Hanoi.
The Rogo robot was a typical product of the FPT Technology Institute (FTRI) at the fair. Rogo can turn a smartphone into a family assistant with the following functions: RogoTele (video chat with friends); RogoPic (taking pictures of the house when the occupant is not at home); and Rogo Cloud (a social network which connects home devices and family members). FTRI has perfected the Rogo Chat and Rogo Home functions. It plans to launch commercial Rogo robots in early 2016.
The Pelican unmanned plane VB – 01 manufactured by the Institute of Applied Physics and Scientific Equipment can fly at an altitude of up to 3.5 km, and a distance of 50 km radius during 90 minutes. The equipment is made of light, stiff carbon fibers, worth about $100,000. Pelican VB – 01 is being tested, can be used for environmental observation, reconnaissance and defense purposes.
The drone manufactured by the Dynamic Engineering Institute of the Hanoi University of Technology can carry loads of 5 kg, at an altitude of 500 m and can be installed with GoPro cameras for observation.
The model of a medical vessel K123 (HQ 561), a hospital on the sea, is created by the Institute of Shipbuilding Science and Technology. The ship can run up to 16 nautical miles per hour, carry up to 180 people in 40-day journeys. K123 is fully equipped with medical equipment, operating rooms, function rooms, and 15 patient beds.
The CNC 3 timber milling machine is designed by the Mechanical Institute of the Hanoi University of technology. The machine is used to restore traditional wooden works and to make wood products.
The new model of the system of manholes collecting rainwater and preventing odors for urban areas is developed by the Urban Drainage and Urban Development Company of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. The system helps prevent odors inside the drains, and prevent pollution and flooding in major urban centers.
The waste water treatment system of Fujikin Company is priced about $20,000. This system can process waste water, and water from ponds, lakes, rivers and underground water into safe water.
Mini rice noodle making machine has a capacity of 30 kg/h. It operates fully automatically.
Besides information technology, defense security, equipment, many products for daily life also appeared at the fair. In the photo is a glass washer invented by Mr. Nguyen Duy Linh from HCM City. It can wash 1,000 cups per day, equivalent to 12 employees. It is suitable for restaurants, cafes, offices and schools.
The Buddy extinguisher contains 500 ml specialized liquid to extinguish the fire. Just throw the extinguisher to the fire, it will automatically explode, absorbing the oxygen around the fire and creating CO2. This product is used for small fires and households. The price is $25.
The bean sprout maker was designed by Dr. Do Ngoc Chung from the Vietnam National University.
