Vietnam’s Ly Hoang Nam jumped two spots to 12th in the world junior
rankings, after his entry into a clay-court tournament’s quarter-finals
Trofeo Bonfiglio in Italy last week.
It is the highest rank for the Tay Ninh province-born player as well as Vietnam.
Nam will take part in the junior competition of the French Open, to be held from May 31 to June 6 in Paris.
As
he is busy preparing for the second Grand Slam of the year, Nam has
been allowed to withdraw from the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.-VNA
