Tuan of Da Nang beat Trinh Linh Giang of Becamex Binh Duong 6-3, 6-4 in the final to take the title. It is the third time in a row that Tuan has won this category.

Earlier, Tuan was eliminated in the men’s doubles and team events.

In the mixed doubles category, Tran Thanh Hoang and Nguyen Tu Kim Ngan of the Military team triumphed following Le Quoc Khanh of HCM City, who paired with Tran Thi Tam Hao, who had to stop the match shortly after it began due to problems with a recurring injury.

Despite boasting a great number of tennis talents, hosts HCM City left the event without any gold medals.
